I've gotten 2 tattoos by Erica, one a "standard" tattoo which was quite honestly one of the best tattoo experiences I've had. She was so fast and detailed and made sure I was comfortable all 3 hours (so fast for the size of my tattoo too!). The other tattoo was one of her amulet tattoos where I have never felt more taken care of or special during this experience. It was so spiritual and grounding, I would go back over and over again for more if I could!

I won some kind of cosmic lottery when I happened to find Erica in instagram back in 2013 or so. She’s a truly gifted artist and human with an ability to make anything you can dream up come to life in full color. I’ve had half a dozen or so large custom tattoos created by her and I love every one of them. They are, of course, beautiful but more than that they are unique. She has birthed a magnificent octopus wrapped around my calf, a blood orange on my thigh, a scarab beetle on my upper back, a hand of Fatima on my chest, a deer on my upper arm, words to life by on my left forearm, a great blue heron on my other thigh, and a sleeve of creatures and flowers on my right arm. Each one is special. Each one has delicate line work and remarkable color. And as much as I love each piece, I have truly loved having the chance to get to know her as she has made my skin a bit more beautiful. Having these tattoos from Erica is a total honor.

I first met Erica in 2012 when I was looking for a tattoo artist in the New York City area. I stumbled about her profile at Red Rocket Tattoo and loved her artwork. After doing some more research on her I found an interview where she was telling that she went to art school! That pretty much sold me on her. I do have 2 big surgery scars on my shoulder and wanted her to cover them up with a tattoo. The tattoo was meant to be a thank you to my guardian angel, who protected me against the Tsunami of 2014, a bad car accident and a terrorist attack in Jakarta, Indonesia.
She took down my ideas and came up with the most beautiful design! She did put it over both of my scars and covered them completely. I am still in love with my first tattoo of her.
Over the years she helped me on different projects covering up my old tribal tattoo from the 90’s.

Erica is such a special human. Sometimes being in someone’s chair for a tattoo is uncomfortable which magnifies the pain. It can be uncomfortable because the person doing the tattoo clearly doesn’t want to be doing it, or hasn’t spoken a word, or hasn’t smiled, or hasn’t asked if I’m ok. Erica has a calming, gentle way about her. With her, the pain is easy to forget about. I know she will take good care of me while I am with her and I always feel that she is happy to be with me. I was lucky enough to sit with Erica for one of her Amulet tattoo sessions where she used her deep insight and empathy to first design a custom tattoo for me around my specific spiritual journey. She helped me to attain a deep meditative state before, during and after the actual tattooing and performed a healing session to close our time together.
